About the club
Monadnock Indoor Tennis Club is one of New Hampshire's oldest indoor tennis clubs. It has been member-owned since 1967, and in 2027 it turns 60.
Our story
Founded in 1967 by local families who loved tennis and wanted a place to play through the long New Hampshire winters.
Member-owned and operated since 1967: members who buy a share are the club's stockholders.
Today members of all ages and abilities play social and competitive tennis, including USTA league play.
Milestones
- 1967 Local families found the club, member-owned and run from the start.
- 2008 A new club logo, a tennis ball bouncing off the line of the court, designed by graphic-design students at ConVal Regional High School.
- 2019 The club's women's 4.0 team wins the New England sectionals and plays at the USTA League National Championships.
- 2027 Sixty years of indoor tennis in Peterborough.

In the community
Over the years the club has been part of tennis and community life across the Monadnock region.
- Home courts for USTA league teams, including 55-and-over teams.
- 2025: Franklin Pierce University's tennis teams practiced at the club and ran fundraiser clinics here.
- 2016: A donation to the tennis-tournament fundraiser of ConVal Community Dollars for Scholars.
- 2015: Member-guest tournaments in aid of the Peterborough Food Pantry.
- 2008: A mixed-doubles tournament to raise money for the Antrim Girls Shelter.
